City Pages nominated for 23 SPJ Page One Awards
The Page One Awards from the Society of Professional Journalists honor the best in journalism from across Minnesota, and we're proud to say that we've been nominated for 23 awards in this year's contest.![]()
Erin Carlyle's cover story on Joe Gustafson is nominated for Story of the Year.
The 23 nominations cover work from 2010 and represent a big jump from our 17 nominations in 2009 and a few less than our 27 for 2008.
We compete in the large newspaper category against the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press. First-place winners will be announced at a banquet on June 7. Here's a complete list of our work nominated by SPJ:
