Homeless tornado victims move to North Commons
The shelter set up by the city and Red Cross at the Northeast Armory in the immediate wake of Sunday's tornado is closing down and moving to the North Commons Recreation Center. 
Victims are going to be closer to their neighhborhoods.
The city made the move to keep those at the shelter closer to their hard hit neighborhoods; the recreation center will be closed to the general public.
The Red Cross will provide shelter residents with a safe place to sleep, food, health services, mental health services, resource referrals, and long-term recovery planning. The city says people at the shelter will also have access to the computer lab, shower and locker room facilities at North Commons Recreation Center.

Disaster Recovery Center
The City of Minneapolis has also set up a Disaster Recovery Center, at 621 West 29th Ave. North, offering basic supplies, help with getting food and shelter, counseling, prescription medication replacement, and clothing vouchers. The City Center is open today from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and over the weekend from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Details here. Map here:
