Benjamin Bryan Newton ID'd as child killed at chiropractor: Memorial fund established
The family of Benjamin Bryan Newton, the little boy killed last week as the result of a tragic accident at a Shoreview chiropractor's office, has set up a memorial fund. ![]()

Donations will help pay for "the sudden costs incurred in this unfortunate event," according to newtonfamilyfund.com, a website set up for the family. We don't know yet if this money will go for hospital bills, the funeral, or potentially a lawsuit.
Funeral services for the little boy will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at North Heights Lutheran Church in Arden Hills, with visitation starting at 5 p.m.
Benjamin died last week after a terrible accident. While his mother, Amy Newton, was strapped to a chiropractic table, Benjamin crawled under the table and hit a button, causing the table to lower on top of him. His mother screamed for help, and the chiropractor--Lowell Magelssen--rushed in to the room and began giving the toddler CPR.
Mother and son were taken to Regions Hospital, where the boy was pronounced dead. A Ramsey County Sheriff's Department spokesman said that criminal activity was not suspected.
