Maurice Harrison and three others face drug charges from after-hours club raid

​The wild details of Wednesday's early morning raid of an after-hours club at 3019 27th Ave. in south Minneapolis haven't resulted in equally wild charges, at least not yet.

Police described finding alcohol, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, and suspected ecstasy pills on the scene, as well as dice for gambling and poles for strippers. Police also found a .40 caliber pistol, for which the holder had no permit, according to the reports filed last week.

As of Monday afternoon, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office had filed only four charges -- each of them for fifth-degree narcotics possession -- related to the incident.

Maurice Harrison, who originally rented the building under false pretenses according to property owner David Chall, is among the four charged with narcotics possession. During the raid, Harrison was found with about a half-gram of cocaine, according to the complaint.

Jordan Clavelle, Manuel Lott, and Timothy Thomas are each charged with possession of cocaine, though none were found with more than 3 grams, which carries more severe charges.

The four men will face a maximum penalty of five years in prison, and a maximum fine of $10,000.

During the raid, eight other attendees were arrested on lesser offenses, and 79 people were cited for disorderly house charges and released.
