Pawlenty doesn't want to stand with Bachmann any more

This plea for cash used to be on Pawlenty's website. It's gone.
Back in friendlier times, before Michele Bachmann was trouncing Tim Pawlenty in the polls, and before Pawlenty's surrogates were calling Bachmann a pain in the ass, the two were tag-teaming on the fund raising front.

Such was the collegial nature of their two campaigns that Pawlenty posted a fund raising pitch for Bachmann on his website. But don't go looking for anything about that fund raising any more. As Politico notes, it's been scrubbed.

This empty page used to carry the pitch for Bachmann, below.
But nothing ever dies on the Internet, which means Pawlenty's fund raising plea for Bachmann is still shadowing him as he tries to figure out where he's driving that metaphorical Buick he keeps talking about.
STAND WITH MICHELE BACHMANN

Two weeks ago, President Obama signed a government takeover of healthcare into law. Unemployment remains high, and federal spending continues to increase at an alarming rate.

Today, as Americans are seeing both the federal bureaucracy and government spending grow at reckless rates, it is more important than ever to protect our nation's founding principles of individual freedom, personal responsibility and the free market. I founded Freedom First PAC in order to support candidates who will promote these conservative principles to ensure a strong America for future generations.

Bachmann and Pawlenty: No longer Minnesota Nice to each other.
Michele Michele Bachmann is under attack from extreme liberal activists for standing up for these very Constitutional conservative principles. Michele has a proven record of promoting free markets, questioning the encroachment of the federal government, and refusing to accept that government officials in Washington should make decisions for everyday Americans.

On April 7th, thousands of you will join me to welcome Governor Sarah Palin to Minneapolis for a rally to salute Michele for her leadership and continue the fight to elect common-sense conservatives in 2010.

Even if you can't be there in person, you can still be a part of this event. We're sending Michele messages of support from thousands of Americans to say, simply, "Thanks" for standing up for what matters most.

Send her your message of support today and contribute $10, $25 or $100 today to ensure that she will continue to fight the pro-spending agenda in Washington.

Thanks for your support,

Tim Pawlenty

Freedom First PAC

Those $10, $25 or $100 donations best be sent to Pawlenty these days. Team Pawlenty, packed with GOP insiders, can't fight its way out of the basement in national and Iowa polls. The campaign is running on a shoestring. And the candidate has been reduced to standing in a corner repeating, "Me Too! Me Too!" while Bachmann sucks the oxygen out of the room.
