Bachmann releases first campaign commercial [VIDEO]

In her first official campaign commercial, Bachmann played down her well known "sex appeal," and played up her Iowa roots.
"As a descendant of generations of Iowans, I was born and raised in Waterloo," she said, putting emphasis on the last syllable, and on the last place anyone outside Iowa cares about.
This time she opted not to play up her connection to serial killer John Wayne Gacy. But it's only her first ad. There's time.
Bachmann says her financial thinking comes from her experience as a mother, foster parent, and "small business job creator," whatever that is.
As she talks, the camera pans over a series of family portraits, each of which only show the Bachmanns' five biological children. Apparently her 23 foster kids didn't make the first cut.
The ad ends announcing a Republican straw poll in Ames on August 13. So, keep your calendar open.
