Kivian Heard and juvenile arrested for murder of Jennifer Scott

​Kivian Heard, 18, and a juvenile male suspect are under arrest for the murder of 17-year-old Jennifer Scott.

Scott was among a group of teens standing outside an apartment complex in Brooklyn Park on Thursday when police got a call about shots fired.

When cops reached the scene, the other teens had fled and Scott's body was laying in the street.

Lt. Eric Nelson said the investigation first focused on the juvenile, who turned himself in on Saturday. Heard turned himself in to the police yesterday.

The two are held in Brooklyn Park jail pending murder charges. 

No mug shots are being released at this time. Nelson said the investigation is ongoing, but that police don't believe there are any other suspects.
