Look, we have seen the same type of defense mechanism being used with many who counter their issues with extreme behavior.  The defense mechanism in question is "reaction formation."  Typically, these individuals are on crusades against pornography, sin, premarital sex, etc.  But, time after time, we find where they are harboring much deeper secrets. 

If you think differently, then Senator Craig was only playing footsy with the police who obviously mistook his innocence.  The GOP tends to attract sexually-repressed individuals who turn their efforts of self-control toward the world in general.  Yes, Ted Haggard was cured of his like-gendered behavior in three weeks.  Sure. 

On the other side of the fence, we also have zealots who preach against "sins of the flesh."  Often, these Pastards are having affairs, fondling children, or sniffing the soiled panties of prostitutes. 

America, it is time to wake up and smell the coffee.  You are in denial!  Bachmann is expending way too much energy & focus upon one behavior which is not even considered to be a disorder in the DSM-IV-TR.  But, if you aren't licensed, you can say or do almost anything short of breaking the law. 

Look at how well Dr. Phil has done.  He lost his license with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists many years ago.  Guess what?  He is rogue.  He has been known to cure entire communities here in Texas (Elgin, Texas).  What a guy! 

If Machelle is elected president, Marcus will be the first, First Gay Husband!   We are looking at history.  Maybe we can turn the White house into the WHITE LOG CABIN!!

I was to help Marcus, so that he can continue to use his wife Machelle as a beard! I would be glad to make love to Machelle to keep up the appearance that Marcus is heterosexual!  When the  baby comes out looking half Chinese though, people might be suspicious again!

We live in thrilling times.  Last presidential election cycle we had Hillary vs Barack to see whether we would have the first woman president or the first black president.  Now, if Michelle Bachmann is elected, we will have the first woman president and the first male first lady.  The United States of America takes the lead in humanity's eternal struggle for equality and social justice.  Hurrah!

Definitely gay.  The arguments against are not good arguments against.  First of all, to date I have not known of a fiercely anti-gay person who didn't eventually turn out to be gay.  And so he's married to a woman and they have had sex, so what? Ted Haggard and Larry Craig have, too.  I've had more than a handful of gay male friends who had previously had long marriages (with children) to women. I'm not sure how they made it work, but they said they did and were able to have sex lives with their wives (probably had to fantasize a lot to pull that off, just as many male heterosexuals often do after being with the same woman for many years).  But ultimately, they decided to be true to themselves and accept their true sexuality, which is gay.  They ended their long marriages and have never been with a woman since.  One of these friends told me that when he decided to end his marriage and came out to his wife, she then came out to HIM!  She was a lesbian!  So they had BOTH been living a lie.

Back to the Bachmann's, am I the only one who has wondered whether perhaps having all those foster kids might have been Marcus's idea so that he would always have the convenient excuse of being too busy for sex?

This might be a good time to dust off that documentary "One Nation Under God" - which pretty much blows the lid off the ex-gay movement and indicates that you can't pray the gay away or alter sexual orientation through traditional gendered behavior.  Check it out.

You're confusing homosexual with gay, heterosexual with straight.  One is an innate orientation, the other is behavior.  As history has long shown, one can be homosexual, but live a straight life.  As so many "experimental" college students have shown, one can also be heterosexual and live a gay life.  Bachmann seems to be a homosexual living a straight life -- and mistakenly believing that all men have homosexual urges and that they just need to repress them, as he seems to be.  He's wrong; some men really are heterosexual and don't need to be educated or devoutly Christian in order to not be gay.  And homosexuals are not better off living straight.

Could be possible that Marcus Bachmann is a gay like some of the Bachmann couple's critics who can smell or detect their own kind. Like a lot of gays and lesbians supported by democrats like Obama and some republicans too, gays and lesbians has the right to be treated also for personality trait disorder just like any normal individual. Bachmann's clinic engage in this, right? Being gay or lesbian, one has the right to seek medical and psychological treatment for any personality disorder if one wants to regain his or her normal sex identity again depending on one's choice.To be sick and disabled is an abnormal situation for an individual.When you work and report sick, you are advised to get medical attention as a right so that you can go back to work as a normal individual. we can therefore conclude that being sick in our society is not a right but to seek treatment is yes.Again, one has the.right to be treated but not to be sick. Whatever a sick person does is subject to the observation of a medical practitioner for remedial treatment.Marcus Bachmann as an ordinary American citizen has the right to work for the benefit of science in treating personality trait disorders, hence, have chosen to engage in such  activity where interviewing gays and lesbians as patients is a part of the clinical psycho analysis process.People who wants to discredit Michele Bachmann because of her husband professional choice are themselves probably also needing psychological treatment and should be advised to go to Marcus clinic for help.Why not?.Let us not haste to discredit people just to stop a Republican candidate like Michele Bachmann who aims to unseat the present occupants of the white house.

Gosh, what an insightful article on the current important policies of the day. It's definitely the discussion we need to be having - after all, the sexuality of first gentlemen and ladies is clearly the most pressing issue the nation has on it's plate. Nevermind global warming, the crash and burn economy, the knife in the back politics of the parties against their counterparts and the fantastic media coverage. Let's talk about who's gay!

I'd join the "He's Gay" side.  After 46 years of living, I've found that things aren't always as they appear. So, if he's the proud father of 5 kids, devoted husband and professionally "ungaying" people, that by no means means he's heterosexual.  Funny but true.  This falls more under the "hiding in plain sight" type of closeting.  That Ms. Bachmann CAN'T see this makes her one of the worst candidate for president that the Republican field has.
