Michael Beasley, living up to dreadlock stereotypes.
Looks like Michael Beasley's long love affair with weed is not over yet.

Beasley was pulled over for speeding at around 3 a.m. on June 26. When police searched his vehicle they found a little more than a half-ounce of dope under the driver's seat.

Beasley told police it belonged to a friend that he'd just dropped off. Come on, B-Easy. That line won't even work with your mom.

Beasley, who was doing 84 in a 65 MPH zone, was not under the influence when he was pulled over. He was cited for speeding and possession, and released.

Sweet tats... wait a second, what's in those baggies?
Beasley's been associated with pot since before he even got in the league. At the rookie symposium in 2008 he was fined $50,000 after he was caught with marijuana in his hotel room. Getting caught during the event that was literally supposed to teach Beasley what not to do in the NBA was a bad omen.

In August 2009, on the urging of the Miami Heat, Beasley checked into a rehab facility for substance abuse. That came shortly after Beasley infamously tweeted a picture of his new tattoo -- which also revealed a couple baggies on the coffee table.

When Beasley came to the T'Wolves in 2010, team president David Kahn said that Beasley's main problems in Miami were immaturity and his marijuana habit.

The meme was continued when Kevin Love revealed that Beasley likes Flintstones vitamins and Spongebob Squarepants.

Retired Minneapolis attorney Emmanuel Serstock, who defended Beasley on a speeding charge in February, said he'd been contacted by two people yesterday on Beasley's behalf.

"I haven't been retained, but they're in the process of retaining me," Serstock said. "The only problem I have is that what I know about I learned on TV last night."

Beasley was the Timberwolves' second-leading scorer last year, behind Kevin Love.
