Michele Bachmann won't answer about Marcus Bachmann's clinic [VIDEO]

Her business is none of your business.

​When Barack Obama was running for president, Michele Bachmann loved to talk about his relationship with Bill Ayers, the old hippie who blew up federal buildings when Barry Obama was a little kid.

Bachmann's fear over Obama's connection to Ayers led to one of her most iconic moments, when she told Chris Matthews on MSNBC's "Hardball," when she talked about Reverend Jeramiah Wright and Ayers at length, before finally saying she was "very concerned [Obama] might have anti-American views."

Now that it's Michele's turn to answer questions about people she's associated with -- say, someone she's been married to for 32 years and has five kids with -- Bachmann is refusing to answer any questions about Marcus Bachmann's "ungay" clinic.

Twice, Bachmann has faced point-blank questions about Bachmann & Associates, the place where young gays can go to pray the gay away. And twice, Bachmann has unflinchingly dodged the question.

First, just after ABC News "Nightline" covered Bachamnn & Associates, Bachmann went on a local ABC News affiliate in Iowa, her own beloved home state.

Right out of the gate, the local news anchor asked about the clinic, and Bachmann didn't even acknowledge the question.

"Well," Bachmann said, "I'm running for President of the United States, and I'm hear today to talk about job creation, and also, the fact that we do have a business that deals with job creation. We're very proud of the business that we've created."

 

The key phrase there is, "the business we've created." We, as in she and Marcus.

Yesterday, at the National Press Club lunch, Bachmann got another question about Dr. Bachmann's clinic. This time around, she made it sound like she had nothing to do with the clinic.

Beyond that, she tried to claim privacy on the matter, saying she could be questioned, but not the man she's been with for three decades.

"My husband is not running for the presidency," she said. "Neither are my children, neither is our business--"

Oops, she did it again! "Our business." So you can ask Barack Obama about his pastor or some old guy he met a few times, but you can't ask Michele Bachmann about her husband's life's work, or the business that they own. Seems fair.
