Robert Shelby and Semaj Williams arrested for murder of Shea Stremcha
Robert Shelby, 27, and Semaj Williams, 21, were arrested yesterday and are being held pending murder charges.
Police suspect that the murder might have been the result of a burglary gone wrong, with Stremcha possibly surprising Shelby and Williams as they broke into the house, but have not yet confirmed that scenario.
Stremcha had recently moved into the house with his fiancee, neighbors told the Star Tribune.
Police were called to Stremcha's house on the 2900 block of 45th Avenue South at 3 a.m. Wednesday. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police found and followed a trail of blood that led out the back door and down an alley, according to the Star Tribune.
Williams, the younger of the two suspects, was convicted of first-degree aggravated robbery in 2006.
