Tim Pawlenty, a guy too Minnesota Nice to call out his opponents in person, wants to know if President Barack Obama is "chicken."

During an appearance on State of the Union with Candy Crowley this weekend, Pawlenty threw down a bar stool challenge to a man who probably has better things to do.

"If you're the leader of the free world, would you please come to the microphone, and quit hiding in the basement about your proposals, and come on up and address the American people?"

He finished with a real zinger: "Is he chicken?"

Considering that our former governor refused to debate rival Mitt Romney on "Obamneycare," Pawlenty's choice of fighting words is pretty rich.

But the Republican debate wasn't the only time Pawlenty has backed down from a fight.

There's also that little scuffle he shirked last week. After slamming Romney and Obama in multiple Tweets, Pawlenty refused to participate in a Twitter debate with the other Republican contenders--one that would involve fielding questions from the American people.

So now T-Paw is even dodging Twitter fights? That might be the most unmanly move yet.

Men in glass chicken coops shouldn't throw stones.
