Lonell Powell, Tionne Hunter: The alleged shooter, accomplice.
Lonell Powell and Tionne Hunter have been arrested and charged for the north Minneapolis brawl and shooting that left one man dead and another injured on Saturday.

Powell, 23, is the alleged trigger man who shot Shabar Hildebran, who was dead on arrival inside a house on the 2500 block of Logan Avenue North. Hunter, 30, has been charged as an accomplice in the case for helping Powell store the murder weapon and driving away from the house after the fact.

According to the complaint from the Hennepin County Attorney's Office, Hunter, Powell and a third man had been invited guests in the house, where three woman lived, and the group of eight was planning a night out together.

At some point, Hildebran said something that upset the Hunter, Powell, and the third man, and a brawl erupted. Hildebran and the other male victim took the brunt of the beating, but managed to force the other three out of the house.

The women who lived there watched Powell retrieve a black handgun from the engine compartment of a maroon van, and come back toward the house. The women  tried to stop him, but Powell pushed past them and shot Hildebran multiple times, killing him, then shot at the other man inside the house.

After shooting, Powell returned to the van, where Hunter was waiting to drive him away. Hunter is facing felony accomplice charges, which could get him a half-life sentence in prison.

Powell is up against one count of second-degree murder, which comes with a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison, and one count of second-degree attempted murder, which has a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
