Michele Bachmann claims HPV vaccine made woman's daughter mentally retarded [VIDEO]

Michele Bachmann, retardation expert.
Michele Bachmann has given America one more reason why she opposes the HPV vaccine. According to Bachmann, the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation.

Bachmann made the bizarre assertion on the "Today Show" this morning, after Matt Lauer asked her about her pointed criticisms of Rick Perry at last night's Tea Party debate. Again, Bachmann posed herself as the defender of "innocent little 12-year-old girls."

Last night, Bachmann made a vague reference to the potential ramifications of the HPV vaccine. This morning, she did it again, describing the vaccine as "potentially dangerous." Then, she told a little story about meeting a mother after the Tea Party debate -- a woman convinced that her daughter contracted mental retardation from getting the vaccine.

"She told me," Bachmann said, "that her little daughter took that vaccine, that injection, and she suffered from mental retardation thereafter."

The woman's story sounds sad, but, as a second-hand tale which has passed through the ears of Bachmann, is utterly unverifiable, medically or actually.

There's actually a good amount of literature out there regarding links between the HPV vaccine and mental retardation. Virtually all of it was written today, and is about Michele Bachmann.

"This," Bachmann went on, "is the very real concern, and people have to draw their own conclusions."

No, Michele. Cervical cancer is the very real concern. The only conclusion people need to draw is that you are not a medical expert, or a serious presidential candidate.

The woman from the audience with the "retarded" daughter was Michele Bachmann's own mother.

It was funny when Jenny McCarthy said this, but the future president of the USA saying it means we are truly fucked.

Don't worry folks! The real fun will begin when FOX does a Republican Presidential candidate debate.  Focus will be on the Democrats policies and how these candidates contrast to the devastating policies of todays Democrats. In 2008, how many Democrat Presidential Candidate Debates were held by admittedly bias networks towards the liberal agenda like FOX?None you say.  Oh yeah, the the Democrats snubbed the FOX debate.  They only allowed "softball" questions to be asked of themselves like; "what's you favorite color" and what's 1+1.That should say volumes about a candidates confidence to lead our country.

Oops I forgot, an "American Idol" type of contest, with focus on furious crap is more appealing to those with the attention span of a goldfish.  People focused on his presidential looking "crease in his pants" and the color of his skin (being the shallow racist liberals they are).Ya know, the stuff that really maters...

Anybody see the lawsuit filed against the Democrat Party by thousand of blacks today?Google this: Blacks File Class Action Racial Discrimination Suit Against Obama & Democrats

Also, are you all ready for you energy costs to "necessarily skyrocket"Google this:  Barack Obama Admits Energy Prices Will Skyrocket Under Cap And Trade

When did "Cap and Trade" get signed into law?

Kirk the Conservative Jerk
Kirk the Conservative Jerk

It is not law, thanks to them "evil Republicans" and their obstruction of the bill.

Both Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar HAVE spoken in favor of "Cap and Trade"

So essentially Obama is saying Amy and Al are morons for supporting legislation that will harm the POOR and their ability to pay heating bills.    Want to take a guess what it would do to the cost of gasoline?

Obama says:  Amy and Al, do your best to do away with the poor.  Freeze them to death if need be.

Kirk, I've been watching your posts for quite awhile.

Mindless rantings, like most of your posts, are one of the biggest problems with conservative movement. A lot of finger pointing and hollering, ad hominem attacks that contain virtually nothing of  substance. Why would you incite your audience to worry about rising energy prices (Cap and Trade) when there is no chance in hell the bill will be passed? You're spreading false information when you say, "Also, are you all ready for you energy costs to "necessarily skyrocket""In response to your barely coherent reply about freezing the poor to death; I seem to remember several republicans talking about "Death Panels" when it came to Obamacare. Something you obviously have forgotten. I mean come on, look at the mind job people who think like you fell into:

Turn people away from "Obamacare" by telling the public that it sets up death panels for the elderly.

Wow! this was actually believed! Sad, so sad!

The biggest problem with today's conservative movement is that it caters to much to the lowest common thought/"common sense" people like yourself. People who actually think that running a country is like running a 4 person household. Dead words coming from a dead souls. It's truly a pity. There are many great conservative ideas that get lost within the hate based rhetoric. Divide and conquer. They (Republicans) do it, and you're an unaware causality of that campaign. They don't take prisoners, that costs too much! You may not see it now, but (I promise) you will someday. The misaligned malice, hatred, bile, those forces will have their reckoning!

Again, it is a pity.

Do you really think that fascism is born out of true compassion for your fellow human?Let me tell you something. Passing a gay marriage amendment is about as fascist as it gets!

I think if there is anything the last 3 years has brought to our attention, is that fiscal conservatism and sound fiscal policy is a smart idea to practice! Too bad we'll never see them since the moron parade can't shut their yaps for 20 minutes to engage in some much needed self reflection.

Conservatism is dead! Not because of failed principles, but because of failed marketing.

I know I've kind of jumped all over the place. Like I said, I've watched your posts for a while. I guess I felt the need to address your entire mindset as opposed to this one trivial argument.

Peace

when was any candidate in any debate ever asked what 1+1 is?

Kirk the Conservative Jerk
Kirk the Conservative Jerk

It's called exaggeration for effect.

but here is some actual questions asked of Obama in a debate -

"Are you black enough?"or"Senator Obama, do you believe Rev. Wright loves this country as much as you do?"

Smoke and mirrors....

Smoke and mirrors, huh kirk?  Good thing we have you to help us find our bearings.  Without your quick-draw copy-and-paste techniques we'd all be in the dark.  Yup...you don't perpetuate bull-shit, you see right through it.  Keep up the good work, Jerk!

CNN did a fairly good job at this debate, the real issue is why the GOP considers any of these candidates qualified to be President.  Michele Bachmann's comments will result in people questioning a proven vaccination, which will lead to fewer people using it and a higher incident of cervical cancer.  She's using her soapbox to spread fear and lies that will result in real harm upon young woman.  This is the tragedy, and the fact that she isn't called out and laughed out of the debate for such irresponsible behavior, says a lot of the current state of the GOP.  It is becoming more and more the party of ignorance, fear, and intolerance with a serious anti-science/anti-knowledge bent.

Fox will push the real issues like Sharia Law, the Ground Zero Mosque, and if the Republicans will invent any Black people to the White House.  Only a stupid asshole who makes fun of dead children would think Fox is about substance.

What does any of this have to do with the duties of a president? The fact that HPV vaccinations were brought up at all in this debate just shows the mental detachedness of this crop of GOP candidates as well as the insanity of our election process as a whole. All of this bullshit is just meant to distract voters from the fact that none of these candidates have the knowledge base and the skill set necessary to be president. Though I may lean left, I'm still undecided for 2012, but I couldn't imagine voting for any of these paper mache clowns.
