Perrycare: Michele Bachmann's new word for using a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer

Michele Bachmann has a new word on her mind, and a fake plant over her shoulder.
Michele Bachmann finally figured out the public's problem with her opposition to the HPV vaccine: Not enough branding!

So, in the tradition of "Obamacare," her favorite word for Barack Obama's health care overhaul, Michele has coined the term "Perrycare" to refer to Rick Perry's attempt to keep little girls in Texas from getting cervical cancer. This is probably the first time Rick Perry has ever been associated with the word "care."

Bachmann's using the term in a new e-mail blast, and it also features in a cheaply-made campaign video that pretty much makes it look like she's been kidnapped, and is being held in the lobby of a dentist's office.
"I believe that parents are the ones who should decide whether or not our young daughters should receive injections for sexually transmitted diseases," Bachmann says. "I think these are decisions that are best left to parents, to our children, to their doctors."

To our children? What? "Hey Jennie, I know you're only 10, but what do you think we should do about that stomachache? Your call."

Then comes the line that tries to link Rick Perry to Barack Obama in the viewers' minds.

"Whether it's Obamacare, or whether it's Perrycare, I oppose any governor or president who mandates a family's healthcare choices, and in turn, violates the rights of parents on these issues."

So, there you have it. This it the end for Rick Perry. We all remember how Tim Pawlenty coming up with "Obamneycare" sank Mitt Romney, forced Barack Obama's impeachment trial, and shot Pawlenty right to the top of the Republican presidential field.

Here's the awful video, which must've literally taken several minutes to produce, and cost about $3.50 to make.

It's over . . . now will she please shut up!

Perhaps Michelle should have consulted someone in the medical field first.... ask a nurse what "pericare" means.....

The latest Rasmussen poll now has Bachmann trailing Obama 46/33.

Further, Rasmussen points out:"Bachmann trails Obama by nine percentage points among men and by 17 among women. She trails badly among voters under 40, trails slightly among those 40-64, and holds a very modest edge among those 65 and older.

Most alarming for the congresswoman, she currently earns only 63% of the Republican vote.  By comparison, the president attracts 86% support among Democrats."

Remember, these figures are from the most Right-leaning national pollster in America - one that showed an average eight point Republican bias in the 2010 polling.

Other pollsters have also shown the strong gender gap and age gap in Bachmann's support. Elderly men seem to be her strongest demographic. So much for Kirk's "Rolling Stone" commentary about her being a "Joan of Arc"-style inspiration to young women.

It's unbelievable that this is the same Party that wanted to keep a brain-dead comatose woman (Terri Schiavo) 'alive' against the wishes of her family, her doctors, and her own previously expressed desires.
