Michele Bachmann, to man with no teeth: The free market will save you [VIDEO]

Michele Bachmann doesn't care if you have no teeth and no money... but do you have some cash for her?
Michele Bachmann's campaign, once a roaring fire that threatened to consume us all, has been reduced in the last few weeks to a small pile of burning embers. But that doesn't mean you won't still get burned if you stick your hand in there.

At a campaign event in New Hampshire yesterday, Bachmann fielded a thoughtful question from a man who asked about the future of Social Security and Medicare. The man asked about Bachmann's previous policy statements, which boil down to, "Let them die." (The programs, not the people! We think.)

"We have uncertainty right now," Bachmann told him, launching into a wide-ranging answer that mostly focused on how Barack Obama will personally walk into hospitals and old folks' homes and throw people out windows.

Turns out, this guy's got enough uncertainty already: He's losing his teeth. Bachmann's policy answer: Maybe he should go to... a church? Or, oh! Better idea: Sit on the street corner and beg for change.

In order to get to the revealing turn, you can slog through the first few minutes of this video.

During that time, Bachmann somehow talked herself into something about the "beautiful 85-year-old frail women," whom Bachmann admits she "loves... too much." Apparently, there are "too many" of them. Something like that. With Bachmann, context and coherence are slippery, you know?

Then the guy got to ask a follow-up question, where he raised the idea of a single-payer plan. Bachmann tried to interrupt, but he pushed on.

"I have no teeth right now," he said.

Then it was Bachmann's turn to explain how people with serious, chronic problems would get treated in Bachmann's America.

"We have charitable organizations and there's universities who are willing to take care of people who are indigent," she told him, lovingly. "If you're indigent, there are programs set up for the indigent. But don't destroy the finest health care system in the world to have socialized medicine."

Maybe she was going for the "I'm just like you" thing. After all, Bachmann's campaign, like the questioner, is toothless and broke.

Interestingly, the university programs are funded and made possible largely through Medicare...

Someone needs to ask her if she is receiving government funded health care and if she is willing to give it up. Ask her if she is willing to give up her government farm subsidies.

It would be so nice to live in such a simple world that every solution can be solved in one of three ways: jebus, tax cuts or the free market.

I was present at Bachmann 10/11/11 town hall meeting in Henniker. Contrary to Mike Mullen's statement "The man asked about Bachmann's previous policy statements, which boil down to, "Let them die." (The programs, not the people! We think.) Bachmann did not say or imply "Let them die." Check the transcript. Mike Mullen fabricated this Bachmann quote. He is lying about that. What Bachmann said was in effect, don't destroy our what remains of our medical system in order to socialize it for people like you who want the benefits.

""We have uncertainty right now," Bachmann told him, launching into a wide-ranging answer that mostly focused on how Barack Obama will personally walk into hospitals and old folks' homes and throw people out windows."  This is a complete fabrication. Bachmann said nothing like this. Check the transript.  I repeat. Mullen is lying about this. Next time you read anything by this Mike Mullen, remember that he fabricated this quotes falsely attributed to Congresswoman Bachmann.

My 87 year old grandma can't stand Obamacare... Bachmann doesn't want us (40's and younger) to get stuck 'hoping' the government can come through for us. The best way to take care of yourself is to do just that... take care of YOURSELF and your family. She wants to make that possible so we CAN take care of ourselves and make our OWN choices, not let others decide what we get ... or dont. Let's not hope some non-person 'thing' called Government will. The government can't care about you.

We have a socialized military in that everyone is forced to pay up for a government run defense. We have socialized law enforcement and fire departments rather than stand up for ourselves and protect ourselves and and put our own fires out and NOW we are expected to have socialized healthcare?! Where does it stop?!

I am sick and tired of paying for Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, The Military that I don't use or want or need... and the fact these socialists are all touted as American heroes???!!! They are Socialists!! Stop using my money to put out the fire in YOUR house you crybaby liberals.... and stop redistribting MY wealth because you lazy poor people can't defend yourselves and expect someone to always come help you. The list goes on.... the amount of things we "as a people" are paying for collectively is plain ridiculous. ANd if you disagree with me thats just because you are a commie Liberal to the left of me.

By the way, my 87 year old grandma lives on a small income (grandpas pathetic pension and her social security which isn't much to talk about). She isn't well off by any standards, but she's doing okay. Most importantly WE her family, will make sure she is okay. I'd rather my destiny in my own hands, my families in our own hands, not some bureaucracy!

What about the millions of people that can't take care of themselves, or the lower class people that have children and they can't afford to give them proper medical care. Do they get to suffer because your answer is for them to take care of themselves. You are the middle class, you don't have to worry about things like this and you cannot make an informed decision solely based on one crazy 87 year old woman

Tell your grandma to get rid of social security and medicare, two evil government socialist programs. Charity and University hospitals with their indigent care funds will take care of her.

That is what Bachman recommended, for sure. "At a campaign event in New Hampshire yesterday, Bachmann fielded a thoughtful question from a man who asked about the future of Social Security and Medicare. The man asked about Bachmann's previous policy statements, which boil down to, "Let them die." (The programs, not the people! We think.)"
