Steven Hendricks, Kewon Johson: Worst cell phone plan ever.
Kewon Johnson and Steven Hendricks need to make sure they have the right number before they hit SEND.

Around 11:30 last night, a St. Cloud cop sitting in his squad car noticed his cell phone ringing with a number he didn't recognize. When he answered, the guy on the other end asked the cop if he could help him buy a pound of marijuana.

Thinking quickly, the cop turned down his police radio, and said yes, he'd be able to help the caller. Johnson and Hendricks were apparently a bit impatient, calling over and over again to arrange the meet-up.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Martin Sayre said he'd never heard of any criminals making their arrests so easy, at least not around here.

"I've always seen it on TV," Sayre said, "like on shows like, 'World's Dumbest Criminals.'"

When cops met with Hendricks and Johnson, the suspects took off on foot, but were caught soon after.

Police found Hendricks and Johnson were in possession of a small amount of marijuana, and, worse, $3,060 in counterfeit bills. Now the charge for that fake money is superseding the pot, and Hendricks and Johnson are being held in Stearns County Jail pending felony counterfeit currency charges.

The second lesson of this story is don't show up to your arranged drug deal with fake money. The first lesson, in case you missed it, is do not call the cops and ask to buy weed.
