Chris Cook faces another felony charge

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office amended the criminal complaint to include a second felony charge after the woman reported suffering hearing loss from the attack, according to the Star Tribune.
This extra charge doesn't bode well for the Vikings' arrest stats. Even without it, they already held the record for most arrests of any NFL team since 2000.
Cook was arrested for the alleged beating October 22. According to charges, Cook lost his temper after learning that his 21-year-old girlfriend had been talking to an ex.
He confronted her by throwing her down on a bed in his Eden Prairie home and choking her, the charges say. She was able to escape and call police by yanking on Cook's dreadlocks. At one point, her hit her in the ear hard enough to send her into a wall.
The prosecutor amended the complaint on November 10 to include a third-degree assault charge, according to the Star Tribune's report, because the woman sustained damage to her ear drum that has led to hearing loss.
In the meantime, Cook is still on leave from the Vikings without pay.
