San Antonio Vikings? Say it ain't so, Lester Bagley!

Another city is trying to lure the Vikings from Minnesota, according to Vikings spokesman Lester Bagley.

Although Los Angeles has long been rumored to covet our football team, Bagley recently dropped the bombshell that another city has also been wooing the Vikes during the past year. However, he wouldn't reveal which city.

"We would let that city speak for itself," Bagley said. "I don't think it's our place to say who it is."

Bagley may not be willing to spill the beans, but that hasn't stopped Deadspin writer and Postmortal author Drew Magary from laying odds, and he says San Antonio is the best bet.

Here's Magary's reasoning:
SAN ANTONIO (3/1): Former owner Red McCombs was rumored to want to bring the team here, and San Antonio has a recent history of hosting NFL games, with the displaced Saints relocating there for a few games in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. This city has secretly coveted an NFL franchise for years, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were the ones trying to lure the Vikes away.
Other potential Vikings-stealing cities include Toronto, London, and New Jersey.

If San Antonio is indeed making a play for the Vikes, it won't be the first time Texas has poached one of our beloved local sports franchises.

Another option you can do is purchase a second set of slats. This option would give you maximum strength and support for almost any mattress and the extra set of slats can be placed in the gaps between the existing gaps to effectively fill in the foundation to be more solid. Because many slats systems are banded this may require you to purchase for a second set of slats that are unbanded which will allow you to place the slats more independently of each other between the slat system already in place.

Moving to San Antonio would make sense for the Vikings.   Only a brain trust as stupid as the Vikings would think its smart to move from a big TV market with a rabid fan base to San Antonio.   Now you can see why they draft T Jack, Tyrell Johnson, and Chris Cook.

Last I checked, New Jersey was a state, not a city...

Upon hearing this news, I think the only prudent course of action is to reflexily bow at the Vikings management's feet and throw millions of taxpayer dollars into their bank accounts as fast as we can print the $100 bills.

I could care less about the Vikings. I hope San Antonio, or Toronto, or London, or New Jersey gets what they want.

If San Antonio wants to bring an NFL team to their town, they are either going to need a new stadium or invest in A LOT of upgrades to the dimly lit Alamodome.

MSP is the #15 TV market in the country.  San Antonio (including the military bases) is #37.  All of the top 20 markets except for LA have NFL teams.  The only markets 'smaller' than San Antonio that have NFL teams are New Orleans (seating 75k), Buffalo (in trouble financially), and Jacksonville (also in trouble financially and recently sold to new owners).

You forgot Green Bay - that's the smallest market by far.
