Bradlee Dean's troupe to Iowa public school: Homosexual lifestyle 'literally kills' gays [VIDEO]

Dean is getting blasted for a gay-bashing presentation at an Iowa public school, but perhaps he prefers bad press to no press at all.
Bradlee Dean's Junkyard Prophet troupe is getting beaten up in the national press following an over-the-line presentation at the Dunkerton, Iowa public high school last week.

Dean apparently gave a relatively uncontroversial presentation at the school about a decade ago, and was invited back to talk to students about bullying and making good choices. Little did school administrators know that Dean and his group planned to do some bullying of their own.

During last week's assembly, one of Dean's preachers, Jake Macaulay, told students, incorrectly, that the average age of death for homosexual males is 42. "His actions literally kill him," he said, referring to gays.

During the assembly, Junkyard Prophets split the students into male and female groups. Here's what Dean and his colleagues told the female students during their three hour long visit to the school, according to the Waterloo Courier:
"They told my daughter, the girls, that they were going to have mud on their wedding dresses if they weren't virgins," said Jennifer Littlefield, a parent upset with the band's performance.

Her daughter, Alivia Littlefield, 16, is a junior, and called Littlefield after the event.

"I couldn't even understand her, she was crying so hard," Littlefield said.

Littlefield also did not appreciate what she described as gay bashing. "They told these kids that anyone who was gay was going to die at the age of 42," she said. "It just blows me away that no one stopped this."
Dean and company also showed students images of aborted fetuses and a slideshow of musicians who died because of drug overdoses. Students who walked out or attempted to confront the speakers were shouted down or ridiculed as disrespectful, the Courier reports.

Superintendent Jim Stanton later told students Dean's group holds "an opinion about intolerance that's not in line with the beliefs of the Dunkerton Community Schools," and the school is trying to recoup the $1,500 they spent on the Junkyard Prophets assembly.

With regard to the Dean's Dunkerton presentation, the Washington Post's women's blog writes "shame on you, Junkyard Prophet," and asks "what century is this, again?"

This week, video of parts of Junkyard Prophet's presentation has surfaced on YouTube. Here's Macaulay blasting Elton John and the homosexual lifestyle:
And here's a FOX 9 report that aired last night and includes a brief interview with Dean:

Junkyard Prophets?   Whoever allowed those religious preachers to come and put on their presentation at the PUBLIC school should be fired.  Preferably from a canon!

I'd like to see/hear the sales pitch and marketing material they gave to these administrators.  These cockwagons have a lengthy history around the twin cities of severely obfuscating their true viewpoints and message when they're hanging around gas stations and such begging for money.  I'm sure they outright lied...in the name of Jebus.  Still,  Google.  Pretty dumb even for Iowans.

We can expect someone like Bradleeeeeeee Dean to hateful and delusional, but it was the responsibility of the school's principal to - at minimum - Google the guy to see what he would be bringing to the school and what he had done in the past. If the principal had simply does his job properly this embarrassing fiasco could have been easily avoided. While Dean should certainly be required to take responsibility for this behavior, the principal should be held accountable as well.

These folks blazed a trail across the state and at more than one school (ex - Buffalo) had their programs ended when the fire-and-brimstone started up.  A simple Google search would have revealed them for what they are.  Whomever approved their performing should be reprimanded publicly.

"If the media says it, then it's gotta be true."

If an asshole that's in a group called the Junkyard "Prophet" preaches it, then it has to be true.

STFU and go die in a hole with your homo-phobic and raceist views.
