Survey says Minneapolis is the most chill city in the land.
Minneapolis is chill, both figuratively and literally (well, it's chilly here most years at least).

A new study by Sperling's BestPlace finds that the City of Lakes is the least stressful metropolis in the whole country.

The study looked at a variety of factors associated with stress, including suicide, divorce, crime, joblessness, lengthy commuting... and even the number of overcast days annually.

Minneapolis ranked toward the top of the list across just about all the factors, with particularly low crime rates, joblessness, and commute times in comparison with other cities.

On the flipside, the study found that you might want to pack your Prozac if you have to move to Florida. Five of the top ten stressful cities are in the Sunshine State, with Tampa topping the list. The most stressful Midwest city is Detroit, which ranks fifth overall.

Although I've lived in places with a lot worse drivers, I find the driving here to be a challenge in the classic sense of the word. On the plus side, when we have a traffic slow down, people don't honk, they just wait. But, they don't use their blinkers, either.

Well, considering that half of the city of Minneapolis is on welfare....yeah, sitting around all day long watching Oprah and not having to worry about rent, food, electricity, transportation, or anything else for that matter, would certainly make for a stress-free life.

There are plenty of non-stressful routes to use getting around Minneapolis, get off the main stream roads and stress will fly out the windows!

Not until they re-open the Plymouth Ave bridge, there aren't.

Detroit is the most stressful non-coastal city? Las Vegas is number 2 and its not a coastal city

Damn dude, ever get tired of random rubes correcting articles?  They should be forced to submit a 1-page writing sample with their corrections.

Yeah, until you get behind the wheel of an automobile. Then it's a different story.

I was just going to say the same thing. Apparently the decision makers never have to drive through Cedar Riverside.

And they've never witnessed one of our wonderful passive merging onto the freeway or 4 way stop standoffs.  I'm getting all irritated thinking about it.

I support mass transit, but refuse to use it LOL!

I recommend mass transit.  I look forward to my commutes--time to enjoy a book.  Metro Transit, by and large, does a pretty good job.
