More than 30,000 petitions were thrown out by the board because of incomplete addresses, dates, or other problems.
If another Republican attempts to take on Walker, the primary election would happen May 8, with the general contest on June 5. In total, the gubernatorial recount election is expected to cost upward of $9 million.
