DNR finds man tied to trees, blindfolded, waiting for anonymous sex in suburban Mpls park

Petrusson's sling stunt traumatized two DNR officials and any wildlife unfortunate enough to be in the area.

The two DNR officers who stumbled across Alan Petrusson last Thursday in Ramsey's Dayton Port Roadside Park might need some PTSD counseling.

Officers were on the Mississippi River looking for fishing violations when they spotted the 50-year-old Petrusson near the shore sitting in a sling. Blindfolded with legs spread, his wrists and ankles were tied to trees. His jean shorts were unzipped to expose his genitals.

The DNR officers understandably wanted nothing to do with Petrusson, so they called police. When police arrived, they found Petrusson out of the sling, walking on the shore. He told officers he was just relaxing in the sling and didn't realize his nuts were exposed.

Ramsey Police Chief Jim Way doesn't buy Petrusson's version of events. He told WCCO that lots of anonymous male-on-male sexing goes down in Dayton Port Roadside Park.

"It's been going on for at least 10 years," Way said, adding that those wanting sex use signals such as turning on their car lights or rolling their windows half-way down to show other men they're interested. Or, you know, sitting spread-eagled in a sling with their balls out.

Officers found porn in Petrusson's car. He later admitted to police that he used rope found near the sling to tie himself up. Petrusson was arrested and could face a misdemeanor indecent exposure charge.

For God's sake, Alan, get a room.

A few years ago I went fishing along the shore of the Mississippi down by the U. I was there about an hour and must have encountered at least six creepy old dudes poppining out of the bushes. They weren't very subtle and it wasn't hard to tell what they were doing. Don't these old men know how to use computers? Trolling the bushes along river banks. Geez. [shaking head].
