MN for Marriage previously endorsed Leviticus 'death to gays' passage it now says is "garbage"
|Today's garbage, yesterday's greatness.|
In the wake of the hacking, Minnesota for Marriage spokesman Andy Parrish took to Twitter and called the passage "garbage." We noted that Parrish's denunciation of Leviticus sounded curiously like something Dan Savage would say, and today, Bluestem Prairie's Sally Jo Sorensen dredged up more evidence that Parrish's "garbage" remark isn't consistent with views Minnesota for Marriage publicly expressed in the past.
Last October, Minnesota for Marriage characterized an Austin Daily Herald letter to the editor touting Leviticus' view of homosexuality as a "great letter."
Here's Minnesota for Marriage's tweet from October 6:the linked letter, written by David Lokker, member of the International World Fellowship Church in Austin:
This is what the Lord says of homosexual marriage: Romans 1:24-27, Leviticus 18:22-23, and Leviticus 20:13.So is Leviticus garbage or is it great? Apparently Minnesota for Marriage's stance varies depending on whether the passage is quoted by a supporter or a hacker.
We must stand together and stand up for God and not let this happen. If we don't, then we are allowing the homosexual movement to spit in God's eye. We must stand together. We cannot sit down and do nothing while this happens. Please, let's stand together and stand up for Almighty God.
