Tim Poe is singing the blues
In the wake of revelations that Tim Poe lied about his war injuries on America's Got Talent, his Facebook fanpage has been under constant fire by snipers leaving negative comments.

On Monday's edition of the NBC show, Poe claimed to have been hit by an RPG in Afghanistan. "It broke my back and gave me a brain injury," he said, manifesting a stutter as an alleged consequence.

But the Minnesota National Guard investigated those claims and found that he lied about those injuries. Although Poe did serve in Afghanistan, he was never hit by a grenade, and didn't receive a purple heart.

If you go to Facebook and search Tim Poe, the first site that comes up is this fanpage. It is currently the place where much of America is venting about being hoaxed by Tim Poe, who told a fake story to get a pass to Las Vegas, the next stage of the talent show that awards a million dollars to the top act.

It's amazing that he thought that lie would last in this day and age...

HAHA! yeah right soldiers, firefighters, and police officers dont get paid shit! we do it because we want to make a difference. putting cheese in the lunchable tray? thats what you compared it to? i hope that in the next war that breaks out you are drafted so you understand how stupid you sound

You're a damn imbecile. For one, that's not how you use the term jingoism, so learn the words before you use them. And two, veterans, including myself, yes, we do get a paycheck from the government, and yes, we did volunteer to join, knowing what we would get into. But do you risk your life to protect the ones you love? Or even those that you don't know? Have you ever been selfless? We don't join because we want to be held to a higher pedestal, we dont expect it. We join because we love our country and to protect your rights as an American.

You're absolutely idiotic. I work in the human resources department in the army, and every injury or casualty must, by army regulations, be documented and checked for corrections. It then will be loaded into his OMPF, which stands for official military personnel file, which by the way, is all digital controlled by the department of defense and department of the army. These files will stay with him through out his whole life.

You know it is a shame that everyone thinks Tim is a liar, perhaps the National Guard are the liars and that is why an investigation has been put in action!!!!!!  I am not shutting them down that the men believe what they are told by their upper Leaders, but perhaps they were minds were on the hard core casualties and not someone that just got his back and head missed up.    Many comments I have read on many sites state "how 3 different people claim to be his squad leader. Other statements say they were deployed with him, but do they really know Tim Poe - I have my doubts.  1 says he was in country 3 days another 2 weeks another 3 weeks.Do they really know or are they crying out to just be heard even if it is negative. I truly feel for all those story teller including the Col, Maj and/or Capt trying to cover up their neglect to follow directives. I believe those that say the negative thing about Tim to firmly believe themselves, but the bottom line it is probably what they were told. Are they for real anyone that has been in the military knows you only have 1 squad leader. The supposed 118 that claim to know Tim well what a joke, he had only been with the unit approx 2 weeks before deployment... None of them that claim to be whom claim to know him and to be his squad leader....to me is questionable.

Time to reconsider this horseshit blind deification of "those that served".  Look these folks sign a contract and they get paid for what they do.  Doesn't make them anymore honorable than anyone else who gets up everyday to do something that serves the rest of the world whether its as a doctor, a janitor or the guy who puts the cheese in the lunchable tray.  Jingoism.  Look it up.  It's not a good thing.

Did any of you stop and think perhaps they just didn't bother doing the paperwork because there is a very long forms they must follow and that takes allot of time.

The truth will be known and you will feel really bad about the shame of your statement.
