Amy Senser is headed to prison
Amy Senser has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for killing Anousone Phanthavong in a hit-and-run last August.

The decision was announced downtown today and reported by KARE 11 on Twitter. State guidelines called for a 41- to 57-month sentence; the defense attorney for Senser, Eric Nelson, wanted probation, while prosecutors wanted the maximum.

Instead, Amy Senser received the minimum sentence on her felony conviction.

Senser ran Phanthavong over last August and then drove off. Since the accident, she's denied knowing that she hit someone.

At trial, Senser testified that she thought she'd hit a pothole.

That didn't fly with jurors, who convicted her of criminal vehicular homicide for fleeing the scene of an accident and not reporting it to police.

We'll have more details as they develop.
