Mike Parry falsely claims Faribault Daily News' endorsement; gets scolded by editor

Parry's twitter is gaffe-prone.
THE PARRY FILES:
-- Mike Parry doubles down on Governor Dayton pill-popper accusation: Top 10 tweets
-- Mike Parry polling behind "Neither" two weeks before 1st District GOP primary
-- Mike Parry, U.S. House candidate, suggests he'd keep troops deployed until economy improves

It's been a rough couple weeks for the Mike Parry campaign.

First came news that Parry is polling behind "Neither" in his primary race against Allen Quist. Then Parry stuck his foot in his mouth and accused Gov. Dayton of being a scary pill-popper. Now comes news that the state Senator and U.S. Congress hopeful either can't read that well, or tried to pull a fast one on his Twitter followers.

Last Friday, Parry offered up this tweet:Parry's link leads to a Faribault Daily News letter to the editor written by Lonsdale resident Kathy Brown Dodds. That's obviously a far cry from being actually endorsed by the paper, as Parry clearly implies in his tweet.

The state senator's misleading message drew a rebuke from FDN editor Jaci Smith:This, of course, isn't the first time Parry has gotten himself in trouble on Twitter. In 2010, he characterized President Obama as a "Power Hungry Arrogant Black Man." He deleted the tweets, then said: "I sincerely apologize for past tweets which were written in haste and out of the frustration I felt for the out-of-control spending in Washington."

It appears the FDN has yet to endorse a candidate in the Parry-Quist race, but something tells us it's unlikely to be Parry.

Well David, good for you. I personally have better things to do with my time and am quite capable of recognizing bias all by myself. Thank goodness you are there to help out the less educated folks though!

Yep. I routinely call out FoxNews, KTLK local conservative talk radio page and others who pretend to have any credibility as a reliable media organization.. Nice try

David Lutchen ANNOUNCEMENT: I will turn a blind eye to the City Pages covering a Democrat in a negative light, but I will masturbate, a lot. I want to be known as a troll for the GOP.

Parry must be popping pills again. I saw it. He did it. Really. And I think David's supplying them! I saw it!

David - don't like it? Don't read it. Are you making the same rant on the Fox News page?!?

City Pages Minneapolis ANNOUNCEMENT: We will never cover any Democrat in a negative light but masturbate over the dipshits on the right. We have total disregard for integrity or professionalism but want to be known as the mouthpiece of the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor Party.

This is just getting pathetic. It seems like Parry is trying to compete with Michele Bachmann to see who can be Minnesota's biggest embarrassment?

The "out of control spending" he refers to must be for the military industrial complex, but heaven forbid a conservative admit to that reality.
