Jesse Ventura/Howard Stern 2016 presidential ticket gains momentum [VIDEO]

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has made no secret of his desire to run for president as an independent candidate in 2016, and he may have recently found his ideal running mate: Howard Stern.

Ventura first floated the dream ticket during an appearance on Howard Stern's satellite radio show earlier this month. On yesterday's show, Stern revisited the topic and played clips of credulous sources such as CNN debating whether the Ventura/Stern ticket could win in 2016.

"Jesse Ventura asked me to be his vice presidential running mate, which is probably the most absurd thing I've ever heard, but yet it seems to be catching on somewhat," Stern says.

"People thought it was absurd when he wanted to run for governor," Robin chimes in.

What do you think, could they win?

I relish the idea of being able to vote for Jesse Ventura in 2016. In fact hes probably the ONLY candidate i could see myself being able to support. But Howard Stern? No thanks. Besides, hes already said the N-word on air so many times i dont think the media could let it slide, no matter how rich and Jewish he is.

@citypages they've got my vote. Ventura believes in freedom over a FASCIST police state that "protects" us from CIA/FBI fabricated "attacks"

i've been listening to howard stern for over 20 years (and i'm only 34), howard would never EVER seriously consider such a move. he loves his privacy and free time and hates traveling.

ventura, on the other hand, is still as douchey as ever.

I would not just vote for such a ticket, I would actively campaign for them. Howard ran for governor once and he has very strong political opinions. He can also appeal to people registered in either party and Libertarians. Jesse has already proven himself by becoming governor against the odds. His anti-party message is something many Americans agree with and if he can show that he has some serious support he can gain more momentum and win.

I’d support him in 2016 too. @wxrocks

@bibliogrrl Scary thing is, he’s a real political guy; that’s not a humorous post.

@NARNfan there is not a shred of evidence Romney is willing to raise taxes or bring military home. Have to do both

It's going to be like threading a needle. @wxrocks

It's going to be messy as hell. I think they will have to jack up taxes on everyone a little among many, many other things. @wxrocks

@NARNfan again, show me. We can't afford more tax cuts. We couldn't afford the Bush cuts. We can't afford Afghanistan.

There are few ways out and he and Ryan have the brains to do the right thing. Obama, not so much. @wxrocks

@NARNfan you do realize Romney wont get the job done, right? No plan other than cut taxes. That's doom

@bibliogrrl I’d like to think that the people who control shit wouldn’t ever let that actually happen.
