Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve went off the rails during the third quarter of last night's series-tying victory against the Indiana Fever.

Upset about the referees swallowing their whistles during a Lindsay Whalen drive to the cup, Reeve stormed the court and had to be restrained by assistant, Timberwolves broadcaster, and former NBA big-man Jim Petersen. She then tore off her jacket and flung it at an impressively well-dressed assistant.

Though Reeve received a technical, she somehow wasn't ejected. Here's the footage:

Her freakout seemingly did more good than harm. Moments later, a Maya Moore three-point play put the Lynx ahead, and they never trailed again en route to a 83-71 victory. The best-of-five series now shifts to Indianapolis for games three and four, with a possible deciding final game scheduled for next Wednesday at the Target Center.

Asked about the meltdown after the game, Reeve said, "Clearly, I wasn't happy in that moment. I'm not happy about how the game was officiated, period, but that's all I'm going to say about it."

So if a man reacts that way, he's passionate/strong. A woman, there's something wrong?? Wow.

Cheryl Reeve IS a great role model, Ellen. What she did was absolutely pivotal and could be the turning point in the series, you douchebag.

and...I should add that this reaction came after a number of questionable calls. Yes, the refs were that bad. Just my 2 cts.

I was at the game a she had every right to do it the call was THAT BAD...and her reaction was because Whalen got a technical foul just seconds prior. AND, it fired up the team, the fans, and the Lynx won. So before you all start passing judgment...and by the way if this was a male coach would this even be shared by CityPages in this light??? Just sayin.
