Keith Ellison critical of Obama's fiscal cliff deal [VIDEO]

Ellison won't vote for a bill that includes entitlement cuts, he told CNN.
Now just a month from a painful plummet off the so-called "fiscal cliff," the White House offered up a deal yesterday that echoes President Obama's proposal throughout the campaign: hike up taxes on the country's wealthiest, introduce billions in new stimulus spending, and find at least $400 billion over the next decade in entitlement cuts, mostly from Medicare.

The plan doesn't give much to Republicans, so it's not surprising that they aren't exactly jumping at the offer. But it sounds like Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison might be at odds with Obama on this one as well.

In an interview with CNN yesterday, Ellison said he didn't yet know all the details of the offer, but would not support a plan that included entitlement cuts.

"I can tell you this: we're not going to stand back and let seniors, people with disabilities, the most low-income, vulnerable people in this country, bare the brunt of this fiscal entanglement," said Ellison.

Obama will commit the great betrayal - The media, pundits, "experts", "economists" and everyone else who works in the beltway bubble will all cheer together that we need to cut entitlements.....

This is truly sad, America has witnessed a oligopoly take over our financial services industry and run amok; Accounting Control Fraud, Naked Short Sales, Dark Pools, Credit Default Swaps, Commodities Speculation, Rampant Insider trading, Nano-Second Market Manipulation, Over the Counter bailouts from the FED, etc. etc. etc. etc. White-Collar crime continues to ravage the world economy yet our DOJ is just as captured by these interests as the SEC & CFTC.  We've watched a class of do nothing "market makers" rape every facet of our society financially and what do we get? The Great Betrayal from Obama.  If Democratic and Republican leaders do not stand up for the working poor this go around, I fear the worst has yet to come.  Thank you Keith for staying critical and exposing this race to the bottom bullshit.

@marevitals Maybe Keith Ellison can donate his income to help reduce the deficit.  The only people who are entitled to entitlements are those who paid into it (including the working poor) and those who are truly disabled.  Not the hundreds of thousands who collect it because their alcoholism, drug addictions, ADHD, and other lame excuses "prevent" them from working.  Nor should "welfare-baby-making-factories" be receiving ANY benefits at ALL.  If you have the energy to spread your legs, you have the energy to get a fucking job.

@keny1   keny you are the pathetic bootlicking coward who defended Walmart.  Walmart pays their workers too little and relies on the government to subsidize their low wages so they can make private profit.    Until a stupid hypocrite like you can explain to me why poor people are the bad guys but not Walmart I don't really want to hear any of your very stupid thoughts.  You are a brainwashed racist douchebag who seems to be on whatever side Fox News tells you to be on.   Seriously you are pathetic.

@keny1 The bailout of GM saved the economy and millions of jobs.  It wasn't welfare, it was stimulas so of course I supported it.  WalMart uses corporate welfare to screw their workers and pad their bottom line.

@MicheleBachmann Really?  Did you cry when Obama authorized corporate Welfare for GM?  No, because, you know, that is different.  And as far as Wal-Mart's workers having to collect welfare while being employed by them?  Well, you know what?  I'd rather have my tax dollars helping working families such as them rather than the career Welfare collectors who have never held a job in their lives.  Their only jobs are to shit out a fatherless baby every 9 months. And another thing: You vilify Wal-Mart, but what about their closest competitor, Target?  Does Target pay livable wages?  LOL!  But I bet you shop there.  Where do you buy your groceries?  Cub? Rainbow? Lunds? TJs? Do you think those companies pay livable wages for their low-skilled workers?  NO!  So, with your line of thinking, we should just boycott all companies that don't pay their low-skilled employees $30/hr.  Yeah, that would really benefit the American economy. As I said earlier, if Wal-Mart (or any other retailer) were forced to pay their employees that kind of money, you'd be paying $10 for a gallon of milk.  You are an idealist.  Yes, in an ideal world, everyone would be wealthy, everyone would be happy, everyone would have health care, there would be no crime, no wars, no diseases and everything would be Utopia.  If you know of a world where those things exist, then let me know.  We can both move there...I'll even pay for your ticket.

@keny1 You will do anything to avoid talking about Walmart's wages.  Walmart gets massive corporate welfare via their low wages.   This simple fact has been ignored by you three times which shows what a loser liar fool you are.   Costco pays their employees 42% more than Walmart with better benefits yet also have made consistent profits.  Costco doesn't worry about inflating shareholder value at employee expense.  Anyone would invest in a company that makes steady profits while treating their employees like human beings.  Walmart has become the poster child for evil corporations worldwide.  That will com at a price someday.    I'm not surprised a racist stupid scumbag like you would be on the side of evil.   Walmart is the #1 welfare leech in this country and they rely on stupid pathetic sheep like you who only get mad when minorities get welfare, never when corporations get it.

@MicheleBachmann  Costco doesn't "worry about shareholder profit as much?"  LOL.  That is the most stupid thing that you have said in your whole career of CP trolling.  They don't care about the returns to their shareholders?  Well, then the shareholder won't care about them and jump ship.  Would you invest your hard-earned money into a business who "doesn't care about your return in the investment?"  No, probably not.  In fact, you would probably sell your shares and invest in Wal Mart.  But, of course, we all know that you have no money to invest to begin with because you are a Government-dependent tool who thinks Obama and the Democrats will take care of you for the rest of your life.  LOL!  You are so much fun to fuck with because you are so fucking stupid.  Go take a class in Economics or Finance and see how the real world operates.  But of course, you won't.  You will just continue to listen to what Mother Jones and the Democratic Underground tells you.  We really need to meet up for a drink sometime so I can actually witness absolute stupidity in human form.

@keny1Dumb asshole.  Why don't you try to read and actually understand what I'm saying.  Walmart pays their employees nothing and then expects the government to cover their healthcare costs and living expenses.  This is massive corporate welfare that goes directly to Walmart's profits.  This is a fact.  If you gave a shit about the debt you'd be pissed about this.  Costco pays their employees a living wage and offers low prices.  The difference?  Their CEO doesn't make much and they don't worry about shareholder profit as much.  You are just a pathetic idiot that has been tricked by Fox News. Your ignorance is astounding and its obvious you let your racist stupidity override common sense.   Using words like "job creators" marks you as the biggest fucking idiot alive.  Congrats on being conned you stupid bootlicker.  Keep telling yourself Walmart's welfare is somehow better than helping some old woman who can't get a job.  Fucking idiot.

@MicheleBachmann  Simple: Because the working poor do not create jobs.  However, they are a labor force, and not the "bad guys".  They provide a service for a fee.  Just like any other employee.  However, the education and skills required to work at Wal-Mart is different than than an employee who works as an electrical engineer.  An electrical engineer provides a much more valuable service to his or her employee than someone who stocks shelves or works as a cashier. Does that make the electrical engineer a "better person" than someone who works as a cashier?  No.  It just means that due to his or her education and training, he or she can command a higher paying wage.  It is as simple as that.  So what you are saying is that a Wal-Mart worker deserves to get paid $75,000 a year compared to a electrical engineer?  What world do you live in?  If Wal Mart paid their low-skill level employees the same wage as an electrical engineer, how many customers would be shopping at Wal-Mart?  ZERO.  Why?  because a gallon of milk would cost $10.  If anyone is stupid, it is you.  But you have already demonstrated that numerous times.  You are an ignorant self-serving moron who lives in a delusional fantasy land.  But you should be happy.  After all, you get to have your hero Obama in for another 4 years.  When businesses get taxed to death this January (which is going to happen, whether the fiscal cliff is solved or not), watch how the GDP will shrivel down to zero.  China will take over, and we will become the United States of China.  Better brush up on your Mandarin Chinese.  And you can forget about Gay Rights.  The Chinese won't stand for that.  And when that happens, you will be forced to work for $.25/hr.  Isn't Communism great?!! But just remember.....you voted for this.........................
