Of course Mark Dayton's against easing the marijuana laws. The banks have made untold hundreds of billions of dollars profiting on the misery engendered by the Drug Wars. He's a ghoul and a vampire.

It is  not up to Dayton to decide this issue for us. He works for us. We are NOT children and did not give him that power just because he was elected.

If he does not want to listen to the majority he can quit.

Um...it's operating right now, and without any of the benefits that alcohol and tobacco produce for state coffers, and actually has a much less detrimental impact on people in terms of health issues. Legalization and taxation seems like a no brainer. At the very least, allow citizens to grow a few plants at a time without any legal repercussions. Starve the cartels.

Dayton rejects the will of the people, he disregards the actions of the legislature and says "I don't think we need another drug operating in our society". Dayton just is another self-serving prick, but still a better choice than Emmer and he hasn't been all crooked like Pawlenty.

Colorado? We Legalized weed here in Washington yesterday. How much money & and prison space is being wasted over a fucking plant? We have other problems like homelessness and a shitty education system.

But a Constitutional amendment doesn't need the approval of the Governor. I doubt even the new legislature will take the issue up but Dayton's view on this issue really doesn't mean anything if the legislature decides to put it on the ballot.
