John Wangberg, longtime Bemidji teacher accused of sexually abusing students, found dead

But Wangberg will never stand trial. Yesterday, the 58-year-old was found dead at his Cass Lake Home, the Bemidji Pioneer reports.
From a Beltrami County Sheriff's Office press release:
On Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 1:26 PM the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a male who was found deceased in a building on his property. Beltrami County Sheriff's Deputies, Investigators and Leech Lake Tribal Police responded to the scene which was located at a residence in Ten Lakes Township, off of Mission Rd NE (Co Rd 33) in Beltrami County, approximately 13 miles east of Bemidji. John Thorn Wangberg, age 54 [all other reports say Wangberg was 58], Cass Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene of his residence at that location.Wangberg's cause of death hasn't yet been reported. He was due to make his next court appearance March 4.
Authorities do not suspect any foul play and are awaiting an autopsy report before closing the investigation
