Brodkorb was seriously injured in a car crash last night.
:::: UPDATE :::: Amy Koch tweets update about Michael Brodkorb's condition

Michael Brodkorb, the former MNGOP Senate caucus spokesman who was fired in December 2011 after his affair with then-Majority Leader Amy Koch became public knowledge, is in critical condition this morning following a one-car crash.

The Pioneer Press, citing information from the State Patrol, reports that "The crash occurred at 9:15 p.m. on northbound I-35E in Mendota Heights. The 2004 Subaru Forester Brodkorb was driving hit the wall of the Minnesota 13 bridge and came to a rest against a concrete median barrier."

Alcohol was detected on Brodkorb's breath, and he was not wearing a seatbelt. There were no passengers in his car and the crash appears to have involved only his vehicle.

WCCO provides some information about where Brodkorb might've been driving from:
The last time there was any activity on Brodkorb's Twitter account was Wednesday afternoon. He retweeted a reminder about a get-together at a downtown St. Paul bar, The Amsterdam Bar and Grill [sic] at sixth and Wabasha.

The Minnesota Governmental Relations Council was having a "Get to Know You" Party there from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. last night.
Brodkorb is still embroiled in a wrongful termination lawsuit he filed against the Senate last summer. As of earlier this month, legal fees pertaining to the lawsuit had already surpassed $200,000.

What are we to take from the fact that Amy Koch is tweeting updates on his condition?

@CinBlueland  Please remember Princess Politeness here regularly uses racial, homophobic, and sexist slurs when posting and never condemned  keny who threatened to kill me twice.  Where was your love of manners then phony?     Maybe when you call out a Republican's manners I will take you seriously.    You keep defending a drunk driving criminal.  Since Brokorb is a Republican if he had been drunk driving and hit a kid you'd be defending him while ripping the children's parents.   I know you would have used racial slurs and homophobic language if the victim was black or gay Cin.

@MicheleBachmann Well, considering that you defend rap-"music"-loving gangsters who shoot each other up and kill innocent kids in the ghettos of North Minneapolis, you are kind of being hypocritical of Brodkorb, don't ya think?

@webcelt @ahugginkiss I'm sure with all the good karma Michael has saved up he will be fine.  It's not like he's some scumbag who made his career bashing gay people for destroying the sanctity of marriage while having an affair.  Oh wait, isn't that the exact type of person he was?   I'm not going to take politeness lessons from Cin who uses racial, sexist, and homophobic slurs.

@ahugginkiss @CinBlueland I have to agree it's too early. If he comes out OK, then later maybe, but right now I'm holding back on snarky remarks just so I don't have anything to regret if it turns out badly.
