Kaiser deserves to be fired. He is a terrible example for the next generation. The fact that he is a "Faculty Supervisor" for "Public Relations" is despicable. Let NorthWestern know how you feel:

Gotta love that last tweet. Essentially he said, "I did something rotten, but I'm religious, so it's OK." I take it Kaiser is a professor of crisis inducing communication?

Bremer also was instrumental in exposing Bradlee Dean. A lot of CP's coverage of Dean was based on Bremer's research.

Kaiser's response is pretty much par for the course for the post-election MNGOP. They are intent on driving everyone away, except for the most "pure".

The evangelical faction of the MNGOP is kind of "on the ropes" right now, with the Ron Paul faction's Convention coup. Bachmann, Franson, and Quist all performed poorly in the election, and these are the "brightest stars" in evangelicals' electoral bench. They have very little to lose, but they can make the MNGOP look even worse and keep that image in voters' minds all the way up to the midterms.

Beyond that, the evangelicals have insulated themselves so thoroughly from "normal" people that they really are convinced that Kaiser's antics are widely supported.

@green23 Notice that Kaiser chose only to apologize to those local media people he needs not to anger if he wants to advance his career -- and only after they (rightfully) reamed him out?

@MicheleBachmann @CinBlueland When conservatives experience bad publicity for their "team", the fall-back position is, "Both sides do it, but when we do it it's okay, because we're more moral".

They really don't see the contradiction, nor do they understand that "both sides do it" completely abandons the "moral high ground".

Aside from that, conservatism relies much more heavily on "branding", because conservatives have created a narrative of ideological conformity in order to convince themselves that they are part of a vast wave. The downside of that is that you have to accept that the jackasses on your team damage the brand.

If he really cared about civility and was sick of this type of stuff he would call out the racists on the board but instead he makes the same type of racial comments. What a fraud. Can you point out where I blamed the DFL/DNC? Not even sure how I'm a coward for just generally being tired of seeing this useless kind of story.

I came home from a river watershed alliance meeting last night, and the first news I got of Karl's death was a retweet of Kaiser's words, headed with a friend's shocked note.

A gut punch.

Then to see that Kaiser only apologizes to TV online talent who might have power over his career? And ripping a passage out of context from Romans only made it worse.
