Vikings beat Packers in wrong newspaper headline

What game were they watching?

The Virginian-Pilot this morning headlined its summary of last night's game, "Vikings beat Packers."

It might be more understandable if it was a close, down-to-the-wire contest, but as everybody who watched knows, it was a drawn out but thorough drubbing. Aside from an early field goal, the Vikings never held a lead and were thoroughly outclassed.

The text of the tease reports the accurate score, so this was most likely a brain fart by the headline writer:

Newspapers should be a reliable source of information that is ready for the public. Newspapers like this should not be printed at all. You are wasting printer ink and paper and trees for every error like this.
