Anti-gay marriage group pleads for last-ditch support of "God's definition of marriage"

At this point, Parrish needs divine intervention to stop Minnesota's marriage equality push.
The past few days haven't been good ones for gay marriage opponents here in Minnesota.

First came news that DFLers planned to introduce marriage equality bills before this week is through. Then came Republican Sen. Branden Petersen's unprecendented and perhaps unnecessary announcement that he's planning to vote in favor of legalizing gay marriage -- last month, Sen. Scott Dibble said he thinks marriage equality has enough support in the DFL-controlled legislature to reach Gov. Dayton's desk without any MNGOP votes at all.

With their backs against the wall, anti-gay marriage forces are turning to one of the oldest tricks in their (holy) book and pleading with sympathizers to open their pocketbooks in support of "God's definition of marriage."

Here's a screengrab from A Stronger Minnesota fundraising email distributed yesterday and written by none other than our old friend Andy Parrish, former deputy campaign manager for Minnesota for Marriage:

The kissing bald dudes are a nice touch, don't you think?

The email goes on to say:
We need your help. Can you help us with a donation today of $25, $50, $75 or $100 today so we can put the pressure on Petersen to support God's definition of marriage and not Petersen's - self serving definition?

Your donation will help us continue the fight to preserve what God made for all of us.

People like Petersen don't really believe that God knew what He was doing when He designed marriage. People like Peterson believe they can build a better version then God was able to.
God, God God... So heavy on the God stuff! It's almost as though Parrish and his ilk are trying to impose their religious beliefs on people or something.
