"Hilary Holiday" arrested for prostitution in Eden Prairie; rates started at $400/hour [PHOTOS]

Hilary Holiday is an amazing women who actually fell prey to a stalker that she had earlier approached the police for protection against. She was denied help as at that time she didn't know who it was. This man, then began sending vulgar letters to everyone he could think of including her condo association, at which time they approached the police and this began a 3 month investigation for a misdemeanor offense. In the mean time, the guy who was threatening her and her children's lives and well being is still free and causing problems. (BTW, she isn't the first woman I've had another contact me about the same guy)

This case is a perfect example of police having to follow laws that are archaic and out dated. She was a productive member of society and kept her business separate from her home life, as most responsible adults do. And let's talk about her actions now that her business has been brought down.  I'd love to hear what you would do.... a) she could marry for money - truly legal and profitable enterprise in the US today...  b) go on welfare and of course work her way down the socioeconomic ladder, or c) have her and her kids who are of legal age to work all get jobs, pushing their schooling and well being to the side, and yes, at the same time work their way down into more dangerous neighborhoods and watch their lives fall apart! 

For many these choices seem better. For us women, it's our bodies and our lives, and we feel the government has no right to dictate what we do between two consulting adults behind closed doors... To date, government regulation of morality has failed, as it should, and yet, we persist.

Ironic as it is, even the couple interviewed didn't even know she was around till they were told and yet they were glad she was gone.... mull that over for a bit. Think about it, it wasn't too long ago us women weren't allowed the right to abortions or even to vote... being gay was illegal and you could go to jail for simply your sexuality. So many gays were stalked hunted down and the victims of hate crimes just as prostitutes are today. Oh,  and if you were black, well so many of the laws didn't apply to you.  It's truly time for change and I applaud Hilary for being honest and taking a stand... truly, I think your going to see a lot more of this, as the movement has already begun.... I can only say from my experience as a taxi driver that there is a less glamorous version of this at the low end level, of young women and motels and drug dealers, and girls wondering aimlessly on Lake Street... Seems like the police prefer that, as it makes it easier for them to keep track of what's going on. Perhaps they don't make enough money to afford $400 and that drives them crazy, so naturally they need to demonize it...lol

Quit with the regulations America... There is nothing illegal about free will to have or pay for sex. Get over it.

Shame on you, City Pages. This is complete and utter sensationalist journalism. And wow, Juliana. Wow. Not all sex workers are inherently drug-addicted, alcoholic, or "damaged goods." This is a classic example of shaming a woman who's simply exerting autonomy over her body, and making a choice that is HERS and hers alone to make. The way this is covered is atrocious, and the screenshots of her breasts on the last page is a tasteless touch. Prostitution in this case is between consenting adults, so why all the animosity?

So, we have an escort paying condo mortgage and HOA fees, taxes, and supporting three kids back in Minneapolis - and she's a villain? Meanwhile, on the blotter, there's a cop accused of sexual conduct with a pre-teen girl... 

So glad Eden Prairie knows how to prioritize their efforts, heaven forbid they put the effort in to tackle real crimes.

Consenting adults. Prostitution is illegal but, porn is not? Don't they get paid to have sex also? Just legalize it.

Hey "Hilary"; get a real job and be a GOOD role model for your children you old lady! Granted its not like she killed someone, but I'm glad they caught her. She should have a much harsher punishment than paying a $1,000 fine and 90 days in jail. Not mention, I'm sure she's a drug addict as well...look at her without make up. And I'm sure ALL of those photos on those sites were photoshopped considering how she looks in her mugshot.

They spent a lot of money during the MONTHS they were setting up a sting operation that will do what? A) Save lives. B) Stop crime. C) Protect rights. D) None of the above. How pathetic that our tax dollars go to trying to stop consenting adults from doing something that harms no one.

This is nothing more than sensationalism. And to include her pictures as well. How shameful. Articles like this are part of the reason our culture continues to dehumanize women. The police dealt with this; that's fine. Just let it be and get back to important issues that affect all of us like why is the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) still stalled in Congress?

Wait, she was in a documentary called "American Courtesans"? Crackerjack detective work finding this local criminal EP police department...honestly they could bust every escort in the city if they wanted to, it's not terribly hard to find their "websites" and advertisements. I think they do crap like this from time to time just to make an example out of someone, and I definitely agree, it seems like a waste of their time. I'd rather see them go after underlying problems from otherwise more legitimate prostitution, like human trafficking and the like.
