This afternoon, St. Paul police announced they've arrested Jeffrey Travino on suspicion he killed his wife, Kira, who hasn't been heard from since last Thursday.

Police said they executed a search warrant at the home of Kira and Jeffrey yesterday and found evidence leading them to believe a murder had occurred. But police added that Kira is still considered a missing person and are asking anyone with information to call them at 651-266-5650.

Kira, 30, was last seen Thursday night at work at Delia's clothing store in the Mall of America. She was declared missing after she didn't show up for work Friday. Police reportedly found her car in an isolated corner of the mall's west parking lot yesterday, with her phone and purse inside.

In recent days, the Star Tribune tried to talk with Jeffrey, 37, about his wife's disappearance, but he "would not take questions about the case, saying he didn't want to hinder the investigation."

According to WCCO, police said during today's press conference that they wouldn't "elaborate at this time on the nature of [the] evidence" leading them to believe Jeffrey killed Kira. They also confirmed that Kira's body hasn't yet been found.
