Homemade pipebomb found in foreclosed Brainerd home

When they first arrived at the property to follow up on a report that electricity had been illegally restored to the home, they could see methamphetamine paraphernalia through the window. But a bigger surprise awaited them inside.

After police came back with a search warrant, they found a homemade pipebomb in a flashlight. A bomb technician defused the object.Meth and bombs, eh? Walter White would be proud.
Arrested was 47-year-old Scott Jackson, of Brainerd, who was on probation for a previous conviction in connection with a methamphetamine lab operation found in downtown Brainerd in 2010.
Jackson was charged with four felonies, including possession of an explosive/incendiary device, a probation violation and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
"This is a good example to call (law enforcement) if something doesn't seem right," [Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd] Dahl said
