JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!?! Please rise above the uneducated, racist, and media-driven social rhetoric of, “they take me jobs!!” and, “I don wan’ pay no taxes for dem ilegeals’ food stamps”. It is literally blowing my mind that you cannot even fathom the very basics of immigration law. Here’s a tiny-bit to enlighten you: did you know that it possibly takes years to adjust status to lawful permanent resident? “Gee wiz, my name is ___(insert token ‘immigrant’ name) and I applied (LEGALLY) to adjust my status when I entered the USA (LEAGALLY) in 2006 – it’s 2013 and I’m still awaiting my number! I can’t work – because how can I legally work when I have NO FUCKING RIGHTS – and I can’t apply for government assistance (“WELFARE” as you so call it) because I don’t have a social security number! How does one support his/her family you ask? Well, I possibly paid the mafia hundreds of dollars for a fake resident card that I use to work (below min. wage, of course) for my maid, fast food, or warehouse jobs that I temporarily hold. But they take taxes out of my every paycheck - which remember is under a fake SS#-and I can’t even get any tax returns because my SS# is bullshit and in the end, I have to make something up to the IRS about being ‘self-employed’ under my real tax ID number, which ultimately, I end up paying pay more money to the government! Double the love for the good ole USA. Oh, and I have to walk, bus, or bike 4 miles to work each way because, surprise! You need a SS# to get a driver’s license! (Never mind I may have been driving for years in my home country). But wait! You need a SS# to rent an apt! Which is why my brother and his family, my sister and her husband and kids, and my mom and her husband all live with me and my wife and kids in a duplex we rent!! But they don’t work yet because they are saving up to buy their own fake SS card so they can clean houses, too. My daughter is in 10th grade, but she is probably going to drop out because joining a gang is more lucrative than being straight up denied access to higher education. Never mind she is in the top 3% of her class and wants to be an educator.” And yes, that was completely made up and admittedly stereotypical. I am also a product of ignorance. OUR EXISTANCE IS DOOMED UNLESS WE STEP UP & EDUCATE OURSELVES,BETTER OUR FUTURE AND THOSE AROUND US!!!Your rights as a world citizen are not defined by your race, religion, place of birth, nationality or lack of.They are afforded to you by EXISTANCE.Where ever you live on this earth we all have the same rights as those who live in our community – there is only one race; the HUMAN RACE.

I think we should just open our borders to everyone. I mean who cares? The people who came across the border illegally and just come here to steal jobs should be rewarded. I mean, why should we have laws here in America when people just violate them anyway? I think the best thing to do is tax the wealthy at 100% of their income (I mean, they didn't earn it anyway) and give the money to illegal immigrants and welfare mothers so that they can use the money to better themselves. I believe that this is Obama's plan. And he is right. Obama is a Christian and he believes in what Jesus said: Steal from the Rich and Give to the Poor. Imagine if Obama could have his way and take all the money from the greedy rich people and give it to the poor people, how great this country would be. The poor people would now have excess money to spend on liquor, lottery tickets, the casino, and drugs. This would pump money into the economy and erase our national debt! In addition, we would penalize young white college students by forcing them to work for their education, and thereby teaching them a lesson that if you work hard, study hard, and get a good paying job, we will rape you by taxation so you get no return on your investment. Because what you worked hard for is owed to the poor. Also, you are white so you are automatically racist. We need a revolution NOW! And I am starting the Revolution. I am a nobody and I want to run for President in 2016. I want to CHANGE America. Email me so I can get the word out. Together we can DO THIS!

Where did they get the numbers for these 800 people? With the do not call lists in places it's just my guess, but I don't believe they were just cold calls.

@Alex Browne It's called RDD -- Random Digit Dialing. The Do Not Call list does not cover political campaigns or pollsters. Some States prohibit "robopolling" -- automated recordings that survey respondents -- but live interviewers are always permitted.

Basically, they call numbers at random within an area code until they get the number of respondents that they need for a sample. Nothing mysterious or conspiratorial about it.

So "your guess" is worthless and off-base.

Look, one of the great things about polls is that they show you what people *outside* of your self-selected associations think. To simply reject polls that disagree with your viewpoint as "wrong" is profoundly stupid. You have no idea what the majority of Minnesotans think; you only know what the people you *associate with* think.

So what, exactly is "wrong" with the poll? Besides that the results don't line up with your views? Did you examine the sample, the cross-tabs, the methodology?
