She might've got a homemade video out of it, but it came at a price. The teen was cited for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after a manger reported the incident to an off-duty police officer working at the store.
From the Pioneer Press:
An off-duty officer working at the University Avenue Target was called to the dairy aisle [around 11 p.m.], where a manager was standing with an empty gallon of milk, said St. Paul police spokesman Sgt. Paul Paulos. The officer asked the manager what was going on and he said it was a "gallon smash incident," Paulos said. Here's the video that inspired the St. Paul teen's antics. Warning -- it's frickin' funny:
The teen admitted to doing it, and the off-duty officer cited her for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, and released her, Paulos said. The teen was at the store with two friends; a police report didn't say whether anyone had recorded it.
Paulos said the case was his first time hearing about it.
"In today's social media world, kids are picking things up faster and faster," Paulos said. "Stores should be on the lookout for this behavior. The kids should know it doesn't just cost property, but jeopardizes the safety of themselves and other customers."
