Today's hearings could be a crucial step in answering that question.

Update [2:55]: After almost three hours of testimony and discussion, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed the bill with a 5-3 vote. The House committee will vote later this evening.

It's a pivotal day in Minnesota's fight over the legalization of same-sex marriage.

The House Civil Law Committee and Senate Judiciary Committee will both hear testimony and eventually take up votes on gay marriage bills today, and if the AP has done its math correctly, the smart money is on both bills moving forward.

If they do pass the committees, the bills will move toward full votes in the House and Senate, which would likely take place in a couple months.

The Senate committee will meet at noon. The House committee began its session early today and adjourned at 10 a.m., and will pick back up again at 6 p.m.

It's funny that when you have an 11 year old read religious Republican nonsense it actually sounds a little less stupid than when the adult Republicans say it.   I mean that 11 year old is simply a victim of her terrible parents who force their bigotry on the child in exchange for loving her. Obviously the child lacks the wisdom or maturity to know what she reads is absolute nonsense.  Therefore it sounds less dumb.  The average adult Republican should know the evils of bigotry but still chooses to hate people and use government to oppress them.  I have no sympathy for that sort of evil stupidity.   P.S. How do you know religious nut bigots are evil?   Have you ever heard of a pro gay marriage family disowning their child over gay marriage?   Search online and you can read testimonial after testimonial of gay children that are disowned by their evil bigot parents.  No wonder the religious nuts in this country are the people that protect pedophiles while telling gay people how to live their lives.

Why is the Minnesota GOP using a child to politicize and progaghandize their outdated and misguided way of thinking? Get real and get a life you fucking wankers.
