Nearly five months after she disappeared, Danielle Jelinek's body has been found.

THE BACKSTORY: Aaron Schnagl, on-again/off-again boyfriend, is "person of interest" in Jelinek disappearance

Jelinek was last seen in December with Aaron Schnagl, her on-again, off-again boyfriend. He was later identified as a "person of interest" in the case but hasn't been charged in connection with her disappearance.

The discovery of Jelinek's body comes just two days after Kira Trevino's body was found in the Mississippi River. Trevino's husband has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with her February disappearance and death.

According to Fox 9, Jelinek's body was found in a swampy area about 200 yards from Schnagl's home. Schnagl is currently in custody on unrelated drug charges, Fox reports.

:::: UPDATE ::::

According to KSTP, reports that Jelinek's body has been found may be premature: From the Star Tribune:
A body that may be that of Danielle Jelinek, the 27-year-old Oakdale woman who was reported missing on Dec. 9, has been found in a swampy area a few hundred yards from the house of Aaron Schnagl, the man considered a "person of interest" in her disappearance.
The Strib reports that Jelinek's family members are waiting for confirmation as to the identity of the body.

WCCO is now confirming that the body found today is indeed Jelinek's: -- Follow Aaron Rupar on Twitter at @atrupar. Got a tip? Drop him a line at arupar@citypages.com.

I happen to live less than a mile away from where this happened and I truly do not believe that he had anything to do with this.  Whether her parents want to admit it or not she had a major drug problem and I am sure she did get drunk and high and went off on foot and that happened to be the first snow fall so it is very likely she got stuck in the snow and died from the cold.

The swampy area they found her in was probably frozen until recently and then too wet to get into. So glad she was found but so sad at the outcome.

How is jail working for him as we speak Junebug. Way to blame the victim. He will never see a day of freedom. Have fun visiting him
