Maybe you should learn to drive....seriously downtown needs tourist bullish*t like that...economically downtown has become a wasteland. I work in a bar so pedal pub helps ME make money. The last thing we need is more fun police.

Pedal pubs are dumb and dangerous. I almost schmucked one a couple of weeks ago with my Expedition while visiting the city from the suburbs. Get a car and drive to the bar like everyone else.

Pish posh, pedal pubs are played out. They are the suck for a buck parody of the new millennium

I think I saw members of this group protesting this weekend near a construction zone on University Avenue near Hennepin Ave.  Too bad it was raining and they didn't look serious.

Or I could get places in a quarter of the time. Problem averted.

As a NE resident for nearly ten years, I can attest that local bikers are just as annoying, if not more, when they take up entire lanes of traffic. You are not a car. Go away, loser.

At least Pedal Pubs generate revenue unlike whiny, hipster bikers.

Kari, well buses shouldn't be on Nicollet Mall anyway. It sucks for me as someone who works downtown, as for anyone else who works on the mall, to not be able to cross the street because the buses are blocking the way. All to pick up some lowlifes who just come downtown to 'hang out' anyway. During rush hour there are a fair amount of downtown worker who catch the bus on Nicollet, but during the day it's mainly degenerates....the library and in front of City Center as main examples.

I loved riding by the pedal pub on my bike and slappin some butts! HA! You pedal pubbers, you. Stop pissing off the nice people of MPLS.

As a resident of Minneapolis, there is nothing worse than getting stuck behind a city bus during rush hour.

Adults who binge drink are boring - and The Pedal Pub only reinforces that.

Yeah, it takes a special idiot to pay hundreds of dollars for what a bike and backpack full of beer can get you for . . . a lot less than that. And without the hooting and hollering like you are doing something actually awesome (skydiving?) then peeing in my yard.

As a city bus driver, there is nothing worse than getting stuck behind one of these things -especially on the Nicollet Mall in rush hour:(

The Pedal Pub was the reason why the bus was 15 minutes late. I hate the Pedal Pub.

@goodscotch By LAW, bikers are allowed to take up a whole lane of traffic. If you don't like hipster, why do you live in NE, you whiny NE resident?

@Christian Johnson You own a whole neighborhood?! Wow, what sort of work do you do that you could manage that?

@Daren L. Mpls You've met all pedal pub riders and know they all are binge drinking?! How did you have time to accomplish this?

@Brie MacDougall I only had to deal with this for a few weeks a couple of years ago.  Everytime a loud and obnoxious pedal pub came by my house, I called the police.

They don't come by my house anymore.

@campb640 Well, to be honest with you I'd move if I could.  But I own a place and it's a little tough to sell right now.  I've lived here a long time, and all I can say is the bikers make commuting a living hell.

And before you say "why don't you join them?", I will combat with the fact that the various taxes surrounding vehicle ownership pay for the roads cyclists use.

@campb640 - What's the point in giving cyclists respect if they're not using the bike lanes and darting in and out of traffic?

@_Joe_ Ha I am no hipster! I was defending cyclists. I live on the Northside... no hipsters here... :)

@cags777 @campb640  You were complaining about cyclists taking up a whole lane of traffic, not darting in and out of traffic. I agree, if cyclist don't follow the law when they bike, they don't deserve respect. But there are a lot of cyclists who do follow the law, and they shouldn't be labeled as 'whiny hipsters' when they bike in their own lane - they're allowed to.
