A homeless man went to sleep in a dumpster and woke up in one of these this morning.
As if using a dumpster for your bedroom isn't grim enough, a homeless man was lucky to escape serious injury this morning when he was loaded into a garbage truck along with the trash he was sleeping amid.

Garbage truck driver John Bemonico told KSTP he "was just doing my job and I heard something banging on my truck. I kept hearing a noise and there's a guy inside my truck, inside the load. He got cycled in somewhere down the street, but I don't know where."

Bemonico said he's "been in this place for 10 years and it's never happened to me."

WCCO, citing a conversation with Bemonico, writes that after he was freed from the truck, "the man climbed out of the back and asked which direction south was before walking away."

Police told KSTP they think the man was sleeping in a waste dumpster near the Federal Reserve when it was picked up and loaded into the garbage truck around 6 a.m.
