"The trooper attempted pursuit intervention techniques, but the driver continued to flee and crashed into another vehicle... at 4th Street SE & Central Ave," the State Patrol's incident description says.

KSTP, citing the State Patrol, reports that Sotona's passenger, 24-year-old Connor Macklin of Stillwater, was "seriously injured" in the crash.

It really should make people question why anyone should be able to speed like they could a highway, but on city streets.Reckless speeding drunk or sober is allowed to take place for what? So that suburban commuters can shave a minute or two off their commute? It's a shame that collectively we aren't taking sufficient preventative measures to minimize such senseless loss of lives.

I was on my way home last night and I thought I saw something going down... I work in a bar, and driving home after work sometimes is downright scary, people swerving and crossing lanes on 94 going 50+ mph, its absolutely ridiculous. Nothing like going out for a night on the town and then recklessly endangering people's lives. If only it were only drunk drivers on the road so they only hurt each other. So sad that he killed someone else... prayers to those affected :(

This story is so poorly written, it's hard to get the facts straight.
