Ventura/Stern presidential ticket releases first campaign commercial [VIDEO]

Jesse Ventura and Howard Stern claim they are running for president in 2016, and they have released a new radio commercial for their campaign.

It's unclear if either is serious about the White House ambitions -- Stern almost certainly wouldn't take the pay cut or accept the financial disclosure required of a race. Ventura actually might be serious, and says he will run even if Stern drops out as his vice presidential candidate.

"We would give the people of America the first opportunity to vote for a president that does not belong to a political party," Ventura says in the clip.

The newly released campaign commercial was really just a gag on Stern's Sirius radio show, mixing together real clips from Ventura's recent appearance where he hyped the campaign. Nevertheless, it gives a sense of what a real Ventura/Stern ticket might look like.

Jesse would have been tolerable before he went off the "truther" deep end. We can't have his wacko butt in the white house, no way. I doubt he has a chance thank goodness.

Not sure how their politics could be any worse than what we have in congress right now - but they do fit in with the "anything for money - screw the rest of you" mindset.

The permanent state of bipartisan politics makes me feel icky, it's why my vote has never counted. But just because things suck doesn't mean we should accept bumbling idiot dudebros as our leaders. There are actually well-qualified people out there. Ones who don't believe in reptile people preferably.

I would be excited about it, if being president of the United States meant you had any sort of power whatsoever. But in reality, it means you get blamed for the stupid and fucked up things that the House and Senate either vote through, or vote down. Becoming president won't do him any good, unless he knows of a way to fix congress all together.

agreed that this is ridiculous, but if the current state of bipartisan politics doesn't make you feel icky then there is something wrong with you.

@midwestexplorer81  Hillary Clinton is a wacko, but on the violence end of the spectrum.

Ventura is anti-war, anti-violence.  It's good that he is critical.  He may be wrong on some of his ideas, such as 9/11, but he is coming from a place of wanting to end war and violence.

Hillary Clinton is a pro-war, pro-violence, international finance-serving nut-job.

Just look at her record:  http://empireslayer.blogspot.com/2013/11/hilary-clinton-pro-war-and-imperialism.html

@midwestexplorer81 Jesse has great debating skills and can almost beat anyone in a political debate. He can change opinions really well, from what I've seen. I think he might actually stand a chance IMO. Don't forget how he won the governer's race in MN against Dems and Reps.
