Homicide victim found in Kingfield alley; suspect at large

policetape.jpg
Around 11 this morning, a homicide victim was found in the normally quiet Kingfield neighborhood in south Minneapolis.

The news was broken on Twitter by local media guru David Brauer, who lives nearby where the body was discovered:

An MPD press release shares what authorities know about the apparent homicide at this point:
On Friday November 22, 2013 at 11:05 a.m., officers and EMS responded to a report of one down in the alley in the 100 block of 39 St. W. Upon arrival, officers found an adult African American male party with a head injury. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators are on the scene. At this time, there is no suspect information, no one is in custody. The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim and the nature and cause of death.

Anyone with any information about this case is asked to send a text to 847 411 (tip 411), enter MPD and the tip or call the tipline at 612-692-TIPS (8477). All texts are anonymous. The CCN is 13-389202.

My old neighborhood. I used to hoop at King Park about 3-4 blocks away. Sad. As far as the genius ran Ran Dazzle, a middle school girl killed herself in Woodbury a couple of weeks ago. I guess the burbs are a mess too. Don't display your low IQ for the rest of us strangers to see. It's quite pathetic

Yea... because no burb riff raff ever drags itself into the city. Uptown and Downtown cops would have boring weekend nights if this were the case.

That's ok, we want you to stay in the burbs. Lord knows crazy people only exist with those city folk.

@mplsdem Without opportunities? Forced to kill each other? You have to be joking. People choose their path in life. Saying they have no opportunities only compounds the problem through ignorance and victimization. There are literally hundreds of programs to help minorities. I should know, my wife used many of them growing up in Minneapolis.

@k2yeb Really? No one here actually caught the fact that mplsdem is a right-wing troll?  You can tell he's right wing by the lack of capitalization, punctuation and otherwise poor English skills.

@k2yeb

They use "racism" as an excuse for their poor decision making. However, when I say, "they", I am not referring to most African Americans. I am referring to the white guilt Liberals who defend their behavior by using "racism" as an excuse.

Go ask any African American who is sitting in prison why they are there. They will all fully admit that it was due to their actions. Few will blame "racism" (unless they listen to Al Sharpton, Oprah, et al)

In this shitty economy, there are 100 times more white young men who are unemployed than there are blacks. Yet, when was the last time you heard of a white man being shot to death at the hands of another white man in Minneapolis? So far this year, it has been zero. Now compare that to the number of black on black shooting murders.

Enough said.

There is obviously a severe problem within the African American community here in America and it has nothing to do with "racism". It has to do with the following:

1. Single motherhood

2. Welfare

3. Liberal politicians and race baiters such as Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Obama.

If you eliminate all three, the problem is solved.

First of all, we need to stop calling black people African American's. Were they born in Africa? Is my white friend who was born in South Africa an African American? I don't call myself a Croatian American. I am an American.

Second, I am sure you are the type that wants government to solve everything. Worked well with Social Security. Health Care. Wars. Immigration. Education. Prison System.

I would recommend promoting work ethic and equality rather than victimization, circumstance, and "racism". You apparently don't ride the city buses if you think racism is one directional.

These people kill ach other because they have no value of life. They want the easy way out. They are drug addicts. They are monsters. Not because they were given a bad card or suffered discrimination.

@mplsdem

Well, if there are so many opportunities in Africa, they can always move there.
