Lisa Bender crushes Meg Tuthill

But in the end, Bender, the DFL-endorsed candidate, had more than enough support from 10th Ward voters to cruise to a victory over Tuthill.
Bender received 64 percent of first-choice votes, which amounted to more than twice as many as Tuthill received (3,704 to 1,732 respectively).
All in all, three City Council incumbents were defeated -- Robert Lilligren, Tuthill, and Diane Hofstede (Jacob Frey beat her easily). Furthermore, since Don Samuels, Sandy Colvin Roy, and apparent mayor-to-be Betsy Hodges vacated their seats, that means
