Jeff Wagner's "Wake Up Minneapolis" is Washington Post's worst ad of 2013

A screengrab from the WaPo's worst ad of the year.
We, and many other media outlets, thought mayoral candidate Jeff Wagner's half-naked "Wake Up Minneapolis" spot was pretty damn clever and sorta funny too.

WATCH IT HERE: Wagner's half-naked ad goes viral [VIDEO]

But the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza isn't a fan. In fact, he named it his "worst ad of 2013" on the Post's political blog.

Cillizza succinctly characterizes the spot as "Amazing(ly) bad" and blasts Wagner for ranting nonsensically during his "weird" lakeside promo.

In related news, Wagner recently got in touch with us to let us know he's planning to run for governor next year. So love 'em or hate 'em, look forward to more spots where Wagner is half naked, jerking off, or involved in some other shenanigans.

I loved it. He wasn't terribly good at getting his message across otherwise (from what I could tell at least), but this ad was brilliant.

Yeah, we basically have the best politics. You're welcome. (But FYI - this guy did a follow up ad that you really, super do not want to watch.)

Clearly he doesn't fit the narrative of the typically ball less politician.
